A first-of-its-kind multiple drive-thru site with petrol forecourt and fast-food retailers required a comprehensive billing and metering solution.

The Brief:
The owner-developers required a system that was robust as well as flexible enough to implement automated billing as well as full municipal utilities in prepaid mode. Considering the client’s tenants are large commercial utility users, they required a solution that would give their tenants complete overview of their utilities and billing with the least disruption to their normal business operations.

Our Solution:
Unimet installed three-phase electrical metering equipment and water meters to each unit. We implemented the SmartZone for each tenant and gave comprehensive training to the management of each business.

The Results:
The clients are able to manage their development without the use of a managing agent and are freed from having to generate the monthly billing since the SmartZone automates that function on their behalf. Rentals are efficiently collected in full early every month, and utilities recoveries are collected without losses and delays due to the high accuracy of the equipment and also due to being in prepaid mode. The tenants have the peace of mind knowing that they can track their expenses and consumption patterns down to every hour, and are better able to manage their operational overheads.
